Due to crows and other birds causing issues in major cities, many of opted to use “Anti-Bird spikes,” a form of hostile architecture, to prevent birds from sitting on top of public infrastructure, such as traffic lights and street lights.(Hiemstra, et al., 2023, pp. 17-18) However, these birds have instead dismantled them and even have used them to create their own nests, seemingly making these “spikes” futile.(Hiemstra, et al., 2023, pp. 18-19)
