The Mixed-member proportional representation (MMP) is a mixture of proportional representation and FPTP, giving voters two votes, one for the individual candidates using FPTP but proportional representation for parties.(ACE, Bristow-Johnson, 2010)
The individual candidate represents the voters local constituency, filling a certain amount of the total seats, while the party vote lets the parties filling another certain amount of the total seats.(ACE, Bristow-Johnson, 2010)
