Section 1
No person shall be a President, Senator, or Representative in Congress, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any state, a member of any state legislature, or an executive officer of any state, if their age is twice the median age of the United States people, or the State thereof people, if the people’s median age is no less than thirty-five. If the median age of the people is under thirty-five, then the maximum age shall be sixty-five.
Section 2
This amendment shall take effect six years after the date of ratification. This amendment shall not be so construed as to affect the election or term of any Officer chosen before it becomes valid as part of the Constitution.
