Any peace officer who is convicted of any misdemeanor or felony should be fired from their position and barred from holding any peace officer position anywhere in the country.

Any peace officer who is found in a court of law to have violated the rights of any person, such as entering property without a warrant or arresting someone for free speech, should have similar penalties from 18 U.S. Code § 2381, including being made incapable of holding any office under the United States (such as a police officer).

Any higher officer to fires or affects the income or position another officer for releasing information that caused another officer to be found to be violating rights or the law should be punished the same.
