Landlords should require, unlike an employer, a legal reason before evicting someone and cannot simply evict someone due to “being disliked.”
Legal reasons are as follows:
- Failure to pay expenses on the apartment.
- Noise complaints.
- General complaints from more than two other tenants.
- Dirty living space.
- Smelly living space.
- Financial hardship on the Landlord
- Breaking of legal contract
- Damaging property
- Participating in illegal activity
- And maybe more…
If none of the above are taking place or have taken place, then the tenant cannot be evicted.
