Landlords should require, unlike an employer, a legal reason before evicting someone and cannot simply evict someone due to “being disliked.”

Legal reasons are as follows:

  • Failure to pay expenses on the apartment.
  • Noise complaints.
  • General complaints from more than two other tenants.
  • Dirty living space.
  • Smelly living space.
  • Financial hardship on the Landlord
  • Breaking of legal contract
  • Damaging property
  • Participating in illegal activity
  • And maybe more…

If none of the above are taking place or have taken place, then the tenant cannot be evicted.
