The age for children to create an account online intended for general audiences or have data collected about them should be increased to 16.
Algorithms dedicated to serving specialized content based on the individual should also be banned for any user under the age of 18.
It should be outright illegal to have a monetized social media account that does not follow similar child acting laws in the filmmaking industry.
Parents and social media companies who knowingly allow children under these ages to engage in social media in these ways should receive heavy fines. Parents should be charged the same way as child abuse.
