Sexual Education would be included in a new Health and Life class. It would not only teach the process and mechanisms for child creation (i.e., impregnation, pregnancy, and birth) but also the following:
- Puberty for both men and women.
- The Female Menstrual Cycle.
- Comfortable sexual intercourse.
- Existence of sexual fetishes and kinks.
- Safe Sex and Birth Control Methods
- STDs and STIs.
- Consent and being comfortable with a/certain partner/partners.
- Diversity of sexual orientation; Such as heterosexual and homosexual differences and that they are both normal.
- Gender identity and expression, through society and genetics/biology.
This class would not go too in-depth into fetishes and kinks, but rather acknowledge their existence so that teens would understand what they are.
Abstinence only sexual education is ineffective and should be avoided as the only option but may still be taught as an alternative or personal, practical, or religious reasons.
Of course, these topics may become more explicit the older the students get, so subjects taught at thirteen years old may be different than at sixteen years old.
All of these topics would be taught to both sexes (boys and girls) so that they can also understand how the opposite sex experiences puberty and sexual topics when they encounter each other in these situations.
